FRESH : More Gigs! As of recent, I'll be playing at the Concord cafe twice each month on Wednesday starting June 10th and again on June 24th. same group - Colin Story (guitar), Andrew Roorda (Bass) and Mackenzie Longpre (drums). The dates of the shows are coming up fast. Summer is funny that way, the days sometimes pass slowly and then all of the sudden you realize time has just flown by. I'm staying up late tonight to finish working on charts for the show at Tequila next week - fun fun fun. I'm a little tired, and the glass of wine I consumed with my deliciously lemony pasta for dinner certainly hasn't helped me. No seriously though, I'm excited for next week. I'm really looking forward to playing some new music with new people. I think that's really important, keeping diverse and always working on new projects - it's how I'm keeping my summer "fresh". Anyhow, back to my new tv obsession - Big Love.

Ah how I love the summer.

Myspace

Oh! and I forgot! I have a myspace, which new (not yet edited) tracks of some Jazz tunes I recorded for an audition. The first one you'll have to skip ahead 30 seconds or so to get to the music but the rest are essentially fine! Enjoy, enjoy.

And I almost forgot. I'm accompanied by the fabulous Tyson Kerr on all of those! Yay Tyson :)

Upcoming Gigs!

These upcoming shows are slightly out the realm of jazz that I am normally in. The theme - music that makes me feel good with people that make me feel good! My brain is fried from eight months of school which translates to hours of lifts, transcriptions, standards, learning changes - in essence - jazz.

Now don't misinterpret. I absolutely love jazz and everything about it but my brain is ready for a break. My brain is ready for music that frees my soul and makes me want to move - makes the audience want to move. So prepare for a fun night of pop and R&B tunes from the likes of Miss Badu, Feist, Alicia Keys, and Jeff Buckley - well Jeff Buckley may be a bit darker, but I love him so he makes the cut!

Oh and did I mention all of these shows are FREE (oh my!)

bring your friends, I'd love to see you!
